Mrs. Tammie Annette Munn, age 40, and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.


Funeral Services for Mrs. Munn will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Reed officiating. Entombment will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Carlsbad, New Mexico, she moved to Tennessee when she was six years old. She was the daughter of Milton Paulk and Margie Owens. She was self-employed and worked as a housekeeper and caretaker. Tammie always had a heart for helping people. She enjoyed working with the Down Syndrome Support Group. She liked to read and was gifted at writing poetry. In addition to her many interests in life, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles and she loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she left behind to cherish her memory her step-father Ron Owens; her children: Chase (Sara) Munn, Garret (Breanna) Munn, Landon Talbott, and Kaylee Munn all of Columbia, TN; her brothers and sisters: David (Chestine) Paulk of Guntersville, AL, Steven Paulk of Nashville, TN, Shonda McCaig and Teana (Jeff) Falconbury all of Columbia, TN; two grandchildren: McKenzie Munn and Kaiden Munn, nieces: Jennifer Falconbury of Columbia, TN, Kristin Falconbury, and Chasity Paulk of Birmingham, AL; and nephews: Scott Falconbury, Trent Conner and Greyson McCaig of Columbia, TN, and Cody Paulk and Brandon Paulk of Birmingham, AL.

Pallbearers will include: Trent Conner, Greyson McCaig, Jeff Falconbury, Cody Meadley, Darren Hughes, and Terry Thomas.

Honorary Pallbearers are Scott Falconbury, Tim Talbott and Chris Munn.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Tammie Munn fund in care of Heritage Funeral Home.
