Mrs. Clara B. Humphries, age 74, a resident of Life Care Center in Columbia, Tennessee and a longtime resident of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Humphries will be conducted Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Georgia. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee is assisting the family with local arrangements.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Henry McClure Walker and the late Mrs. Minnie McCracken Walker. For many years, she was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Powder Springs and spent her life as a homemaker. Mrs. Humphries was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will truly be missed by her friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Richard Humphries, Sr.

Mrs. Humphries left behind to cherish her memory her daughters: Joan Marie (Stewart) Shirley of Columbia, TN and Denise Carline (Wayne) Pritchett of Winston, GA; her sons: Rev. Donald Richard (Shanda) Humphries, Jr. of Douglasville, GA and Robert (Sharon) Henry Humphries of Dallas,TX; one sister, Fay Hughes of Atlanta, GA; and a brother Robert (Marion) Walker of New Jersey; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Richard Humphries, Sr.
