Ralph Smith

August 6, 1953 - July 4, 2011

Mr. Ralph Smith, age 57, the husband of Brenda Breden Smith and a resident of the Culleoka community passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center on Monday, July 4, 2011.

A private Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 09, 2011 at his residence at the convenience of the family. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and assisting the family.

A native of Massachusetts, he was the son of R.E. Smith, Sr. and the late Nancy Maye Ferron Smith Clark. He was a very loving man and was the type of person who never met a stranger. If you were privileged to meet Ralph, you soon discovered that he was very light hearted and loved to joke around. He was employed as a truck driver for Abilene Motor Express in Richmond, Virginia. One of his joys in life was his dog Thunder. Thunder would ride in the truck with Ralph and they enjoyed each other’s company. Ralph’s kind heart and love for life will be missed by all his family and friends.

In addition to his wife and father, Ralph left behind to cherish his memory his twin brother Bruce Wayne Smith of Goshen, Virginia, another brother, Tommy Smith of Waynesboro, VA; two half brothers: Christopher Clark of Dickson, TN, and Danny Clark of Goshen, VA; three sisters: Cheryl Smith of Wildwood, FL, and Peggy Clark and Donna Clark, both of Rockbridge Bath, VA.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-father Houston Clark and a half brother, James Clark.
