Mr. Samuel (Sam) Hobbs, age 68, husband of Kim Endsley Hobbs, the son of the late Gelia May Gilbert Hobbs (Mother) and the late Richard Loyd Hobbs (Father), and a resident of Lynnwood Ave in Lewisburg, TN passed away at his residence after an extended illness on Sunday, July 10, 2011.

Funeral services for Mr. Hobbs will be on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM at London Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Mike Tatum officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM also at London Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements and is assisting the family.

A native of Marshall County; Mr. Hobbs was a retired employee of International Comfort Products in Lewisburg. He was Church Of Christ by faith and was a member of Church Street Church Of Christ in Lewisburg. He and Kim just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary last week and he was a family man. His family stated that he loved playing with the grandkids and has always enjoyed watching his boys and grandkids play baseball.

Mr. Hobbs memories will be cherished by those he leaves behind. In addition to his wife; survivors include; his sons, Steve (Kristi) Hobbs, and Shane Hobbs of Lewisburg; Russ (Denise) Barnes of Chapel Hill; two brothers, Guy A. Hobbs of Taylor, Michigan and Thomas (Kathy) Hobbs of Lewisburg; and one sister, Anna Marie Adams of Lewisburg; and 5 grandchildren, Kalie Hobbs, Alli Hobbs, Caitlin Barnes, Madison Barnes, and Aaron Hobbs. His mother-in-law, Joan Endsley and his father in-law; Vinal Endsley of Lewisburg.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Carroll Hobbs and his grandson Brandon Hobbs.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Hobbs, Ross Tate, Norris Endsley, Steve Muylle, Mike Adams, and Dr. Jack Milligan
