Bobby Ray Stanley

August 20, 1937 - August 3, 2011

Mr. Bobby Stanley, age 73, a resident of Spring Hill, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, August 03, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

A private graveside service will be held by the family on Thursday, August 04, 2011 at 6:30 P.M. in Maury Memorial Gardens. Heritage Funeral Home assisted the family and is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Carthage, Texas he was the son of the late Charles and Lola Stanley. He graduated from college in Louisiana. In recent years, he worked as an insurance agent with Health Spring. He was a people person who never met a stranger. He had varied interests in life and he enjoyed history and he had a knack for telling old stories. He was funny and always loved to make people laugh with his joke telling. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Stanley leaves behind to cherish his memory three sons: Gene Stanley, Ray Stanley and Shannon Stanley all of Tyler, TX; three daughters: Stacy (Ron) Jagger of Columbia, TN, Sharon (Jimmy) Masier of Murfreesboro, TN, and Karen Stanley of Nashville, TN; and six grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Jack Stanley and Herbert Stanley and one sister, Thelma Creamer.
