Felix Wojnar

July 25, 1920 - August 19, 2011

Mr. Felix Wojnar, age 91, husband of the late Gertrude Wojnar, and a resident of Mulberry Drive in Columbia passed away on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Signature Health Care in Columbia.

Funeral Services for Mr. Wojnar will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Father Claire Hendricks officiating. Interment will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 PM until the 4:00 PM funeral hour on Monday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Anthony Wojnar and the late Bernice (Sklaz). A hard working man, he drove a truck for Volpe Cartage Company and was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.

He left behind to cherish his memory three daughters: Constance ”Connie” (Harry) Paczkowski of Columbia, TN, Patricia “Pat” (Steve) Butryn of Hudsonville, MI, and Denise Wojnar of Springfield, VA; one brother, Edward (Bernie) Wojnar of Dearborn Heights, MI; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, and his wife of sixty nine years, Gertrude Agnes Wojnar who passed away on March 27, 2011, he was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers will include Gary Czarnik, Eric Butryn, Todd Reischman, Brian Paczkowski, Andy Williams, Tom Butryn and Douglas Butryn.
