Mrs. Roberta I. Holland, age 77, a resident of Bradford Circle in Columbia, Tennessee and the wife of the late Ernest Ray Holland, passed away on Friday, September 09, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Holland will be conducted on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 12 O’clock noon in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home Rev. Hubert Cunningham officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and then again on Monday from 10:00 AM until the service hour. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson, Tennessee on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Flint, Michigan she was the daughter of the late Horace Royan Combest and the late Cora Lee (Aaron) Combest. She graduated from Flint Central High School in Flint, Michigan. She spent her life as a homemaker caring for her husband and family. Mrs. Holland loved to watch westerns on television. A kind and loving lady, she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Her kind heart and loving ways will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Holland left behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Debra A. (Dale) Lewis of Columbia, TN; a son, Michael Holland of Fremont, OH; a brother, Robert Combest of Flint, MI; five grandchildren: Danielle Weaver of Chapel Hill, TN, Marty Lewis of Trenton, TN, Joshua Lewis of LaVergne, TN, Cori Holland of Swartz Creek MI and Kelli White of Swartz Creek, MI; and four great grandchildren: Dylan Weaver, Haley Lewis, Ethan Lewis and Cody Weaver.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny Holland and a sister-in-law, Donna Combest.
Honorary Pallbearers will include: Marty Lewis, Joshua Lewis, Dwayne Weaver, Donnie Smith, Tim McGarity, and Ray McGarity.
