Bessie L. (Durham) Kosmar

January 25, 1935 - September 28, 2011

Mrs. Bessie L. (Durham) Kosmar, age 76, and a resident of Christi Ave in Chapel Hill, TN passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Kosmar will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 5:00 PM at St. Frances Assisi Catholic Church in Aberdeen, Mississippi with Father Vince Burns officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Hohenwald, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Durham and the late Mattie (Ament) Durham. She attended school in Lewis County, Tennessee and was a member of St. Frances Assisi Catholic Church in Aberdeen, Mississippi. She had worked with the Continental Insurance Company where she rated insurance policies. Mrs. Kosmar loved life and she loved her family. She enjoyed crocheting and had a great appreciation for flowers. She had a passion for hummingbirds and thoroughly enjoyed playing dominos and bingo with family and friends. Her kind and loving ways will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Kosmar left behind to cherish her memory her daughter Bobbie (Richard) Carpenter of Nashville, TN, four step-children, a sister Della Roden of Hohenwald, TN; three grandchildren: Terri (Ashley) Harper of Chapel Hill, TN, Ben (Jan) Starr of Greenbrier, TN, Leon (Haley) Starr of Moulton, AL and four great grandchildren: Allie Goodson, Aldyn Harper, Zoe Starr, and Jentzen Starr; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
