Dale Barnhart, 66 of Paducah died at 1:32 p.m. October 5, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Barnhart, first and foremost, loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a member of Bridge Street Lighthouse Church. He was a retired worker with the Senior Citizen Center of Paducah. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He took great pride and enjoyment mowing yards and spit-shining cars. He also loved his dogs, model cars and baking cakes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carolyn Sue Blair Barnhart, two daughters, Renee Fields (Ronnie), and Lisa Davison (Tony), both of Paducah; six grandchildren; Anthony (T.J.) Davison, Joshua Barnhart, Jennifer Rucker, Crystal Ligon, Racheal Davison, and Bobby Wright, five great grandchildren; Maggi Davison, Stetsen Rucker, Ethan Rucker, Anthony Davison, and Benjamin Rucker, and two soon to be, three sisters; Shirley Smallwood of Paducah, Janice Faye Walls (Gary) of Paducah, and Carol Kaye Fletcher (Gary) of Possum Trot, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Omer Dale and Mary Virginia Barr Barnhart and one niece, Tina Fletcher.
Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2011, at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church, 2210 West Hovekamp Rd., Paducah, KY 42003. Rev. Joel Harper and Rev. Tony Davison officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Barnhart will be Saturday, October 8, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the church.
