Mr. Charles A. Benedetti, age 62, a former Saturn employee, and a resident of Rip Steele Road in Columbia, Tennessee passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at his residence.
A Catholic Memorial Blessing for Mr. Benedetti will be celebrated on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 9:30 AM at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Avenue, Hamilton, New Jersey. Inurnment and committal service will follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown, New Jersey. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee is assisting the family with the local arrangements.
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he was the son of Armond Benedetti and Charlotte Margaret (McMullen) Benedetti. He was a Vietnam War veteran and was of the Roman Catholic faith. He retired from Saturn Manufacturing (General Motors) in Spring Hill, Tennessee. He had a passion for hunting and fishing and thoroughly enjoyed working in his yard. Although these interests brought him great joy, nothing could compare to the joy that his children and grandchildren brought to him. His kind heart and presence will greatly be missed by all.
In addition to his parents, he left behind to cherish his memory his Life Companion, Brenda Harris of Columbia, TN; a son, Anthony "Tony" (Denise) Benedetti of Ewing, NJ; a daughter, Jennifer Benedetti Madrigual, a brother, Bruce (Patricia) Benedetti of Florence, NJ; a sister, Deborah (John) Koch of Mt. Laurel, of NJ; six grandchildren; nephew, Joseph Koch; nieces, Theresa VanDeVeere, Cathleen Benedetti, Patricia Benedetti.
Due to cemetery regulations, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3076 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
