Mr. James "Jim" Harold Liner, Jr., age 62, husband of Barbara Kelley Liner of Water Valley, and a resident of Leipers Creek Road passed away November 5, 2011 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, TN.

The family will hold a Memorial Visitation to celebrate his life on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. There will be a time of Speaking & Sharing Memories about Mr. Liner that evening from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. As per Mr. Liner's request; he wants his cremains scattered in the Gulf of Mexico. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Liner was born in Leesburg, Florida to the late James Harold Liner, Sr. (Father) and the late Margaret (Barger) Liner (Mother). He was an accomplished musician. He was a bass guitarist and traveled world-wide playing for many prominent oldies groups. He was music director and bass player for Sam Moore. He also played many years with The Sons of the Beach and Hal Newman and The Mystics of Time. He also toured with many Legends of Rock cruises. Mr. Liner was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters; Kelley Holder (Tony) of Hohenwald, Joey Farmer (Stephen) of Nolensville, and Sarah McCormick (BJ) of Ft. Stewart, GA; one sister, Jackie Hunt (Bob) of Fruitland Park, FL; four grandchildren, Santana LaRue (Aaron) of Spring Hill, Michael Prince (Amanda) of Columbia, Cody Farmer of Nolensville and Will McCormick of Ft. Stewart, GA; two great-grandchildren, Addison Prince of Columbia and Kylie LaRue of Spring Hill; two nephews, James Hunt and Bobby Hunt and one niece, Debbie Stivender, all of FL. He is also survived by his beloved Chihuahua, Bella.

The family request that memorials be made to the MusiCares South Region, 1904 Wedgewood Ave., Nashville, TN 37212.
