Mrs. Rosemary Jane (Houston) Johnson, age 87, wife of John Robert Johnson, and a resident St. Cloud, Florida passed away late Monday afternoon, December 12, 2011.
A Private Family Service will be held later this week at Heritage Funeral Home with the Interment at Maury Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Indiana to the late Gladys Fay (Leeson) Houston and the late Terrill Conrad Houston. She loved to tell stories, go on vacation, and enjoyed playing cards. Her most important priorities were family. Therefore it is no surprise to hear that she loved her family, loved family get-togethers, and just simply loved life and having good clean fun. She was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, was a homemaker and married to Mr. John for over 58 years. She also served our country in the United States Marine Corp. Her rank was Corporal; from 1944 to 1946, During World War II.
In addition to her husband; Mrs. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Bobbi (Derek) Hosier of St. Cloud, Florida, and Brenna (Charles) Brown of Hampshire. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Chris Hosier, Ben Hosier, Jon Hosier, Michael Hosier, Erica Scott, Sandi Wood, Nick Brown, and Charlie Brown; along with 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter; Saundra Jane Henke, one brother; Terrill Houston Jr., and one sister; Loranelle Richey.
Pallbearers will be her 6 grandsons and her 2 son-in-laws.
