Douglas Wayne Schlichter

November 20, 1957 - January 11, 2012

Mr. Douglas Wayne Schlichter, age 54, a resident of Rainer Drive in Columbia passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 11, 2012.

The family will hold a private gathering at his mother’s home on Friday, January 13, 2012. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and is assisting the family.

Born in Rockford, Illinois he was the son of the late Robert Dean Schlichter and Lois Louise Schlichter Higgins. He was employed as a truck driver with Northeast TX Premier Trucking, LLC.

In addition to his mother, he left behind to cherish his memory a son, Jarrod Wayne Schlichter; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Schlichter of Livingston, TX, four brothers: Dennis Craig Schlichter of Pagasa Springs, CO, Kent Robert Schlichter of Lewisburg, TN, Jimmy Dean Schlichter of Primm Springs, TN and Richard Dane Schlichter of Rising Sun, IN; two grandchildren: Jordan and Wyatt Lord of Livingston, TX.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Lynn (Schyer) Schlichter.
