Mr. William Jeffrey (Jeff) Walker, age 52, a resident of the “Old Lewisburg Pike”, (former resident of the Williamsport Community), and the co-owner of the Walker Mobile Village passed away after a short illness late Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and friends.

A funeral service for Jeff will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Georgina Kennedy, Keith Baker and Enoch George officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home, and then again on Saturday one hour prior to the funeral service. A private family Entombment will be held at a later date at Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and assisting the family.

A native of Maury County, he was the son of the late Lester Arden (L.A.) Walker, Jr. and Maynell Witherspoon Walker. He was a 1978 graduate from Central High School in Columbia. He briefly served in the Navy until the time he received his honorable discharge following his brother's death. He was of the Methodist faith and was employed for many years as an iron worker with the Local 492 Ironworkers of Nashville, Tennessee. He enjoyed studying genealogy and held a special interest in his Indian Heritage. He was a very strong willed, loving and caring man. He enjoyed art and music and was very accomplished on the harmonica and he also played the piano. He enjoyed horses, motorcycles and he loved to ride his Harley. His family fondly recalled his determination to help them in any and every way he could. Although he was not a carpenter, he still helped his son build his house to which that added many funny and memorable experiences to their precious memories of Jeff. This outgoing, loving, caring man will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother Maynell, Jeff left behind to cherish his memory one daughter, Stephanie Lynn Walker of Culleoka, TN; one son, Wesley Arden (Ashley) Walker of Culleoka, TN; one granddaughter who was the joy of his life, Carrington Leora Walker of Culleoka, TN; the mother of his children, Vickie Ann Walker of Culleoka, TN, his special friend, Benita Calvert of Columbia, TN; his mother-in-law Peggy Davidson; nieces and nephews: Angie (Jeff) Roberts and Angie's son Chance Rosson, Brooke (Travis) Hensley, Jeremy (Ashlee) Baker; special family members Sandy and Keith Baker, several great nephews and great nieces; and a host of friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony (Tony) Arden Walker, grandparents: William Walter and Irene Witherspoon and Lester & Vernon Walker, Sr.
