Janice Pruitt

November 1, 1944 - February 3, 2012

Ms. Janice Pruitt, age 67 and a resident of Granddaddy Road in Lawrenceburg passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012 at her residence.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 1:30-3:00PM Monday, February 6, 2012 at Deerfield Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Memorials in her honor may be made to the Lawrenceburg Public Library at 519 East Gaines St., Lawrenceburg, TN 38464.

Janice loved nature and being outside, whether it was hiking, canoeing, gardening or just enjoying the outdoors. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by daughters, Melissa Russell of Columbia, TN, Kim (Mike) Comer of Kingston Springs, TN, Mahala Pruitt of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Eloyce Jones, Cathye (Henry) Phillips, Edith (Bill) Eells all of Lawrenceburg, Dianne (Scott) Hargrave of Miami, FL; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, Hardison “Doc” Pruitt and Alice Lancaster Pruitt Pillows; son, Harold Wayne Pruitt; granddaughter, Lindsay Comer; brother, Loyd “Bud” Pruitt and sisters, Bonnie Richards and Barbara Hughes. The family would like to thank Hospice Compassus for their assistance and caring.
