Charles Lee Moore

July 14, 1949 - February 5, 2012

Mr. Charles Lee Moore, Sr. age 75 and a resident of High Street in Columbia, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, February 05, 2012 at his residence.

A Life Celebration with Masonic Rights for Charles will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 6 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM prior to the service. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and assisting the family.

Born in Summertown, Tennessee he was the son of the late Grady Lee & Euna Elizabeth Curtis Moore. He was a Mason and also a Shriner. He worked as a jeweler and owned the C.L Moore Jewelry Shop on the square in Columbia and following that he was the owner of the Gold Nugget on Carmack Blvd. If you were to ask him what he liked to do in life he would definitely tell you, "go fishing". For the past twenty years, he defied all odds when it came to his health. He was a survivor of cancer, stroke and a heart condition.

He left behind a son, Charles "Chuck" (Cynthia) Moore of Columbia, TN; two daughters: Lauren (Ricky) Bishop of Pulaski, TN and Cassie Moore (David Graham) of Columbia, TN; one brother, Owen Moore of Mt. Pleasant, TN and one sister, Cynthia (Lanny) Benefield of Summertown, TN; and four grandchildren: Benjamin Bishop, David Moore, Derick Moore and Lucas Moore.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Benderman.
