A native of Giles, County, Tennessee, he was the son of Jackie Ervin & Linda Sue McConnell Ervin. He attended school in Culleoka and was a member of the Zion Acres Freewill Baptist Church. He previously attended Our Father's House Holiness Church in Lawrence County. This gifted minister of the gospel loved the Lord and truly loved his family. Not only was he a gifted preacher, but the Lord had also blessed him with talents for singing and playing both the piano and guitar. He always had a passion for the water and especially enjoyed fishing; but nothing held a candle to his love for his family and preaching the Word of God. His kind, sweet, gentle ways and his evangelistic preaching will truly be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents and loving wife, Felicia, he left behind to cherish his memory two small children: Jonathan Wayne Ervin and Kaitlyn Bryanna Ervin and one brother, Travis Ervin of Columbia, TN.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Brownie Keith Ervin, and his grandparents: J.B. McConnell & Ina Elizabeth McConnell and Archie Pillow Ervin and Florence Cozart Ervin.
