Linda Norman Hendrix, age 70, and a resident of Columbia passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Signature Healthcare of Columbia.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1st at 6PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Ezell Rose officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-6PM prior to the service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Linda was a native of Maury County, and the daughter of the late Sam “Happy” Norman and the late Lena Mae Cummins Norman. She was a former employee of Cosmo Lab in Lewisburg, but recently had worked at McDonald’s. Linda loved doing all kinds of home improvement projects, most recently helping her daughter refinish her kitchen cabinets. In her spare time, she also enjoyed painting, home shows, and doing cross word puzzles. She was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church. Linda loved the Lord and her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include: one son: Mark Hendrix of Ft. Worth, TX; daughters: Beverly (Larry) Newcomb of Columbia, Joan Hendrix of Ft. Worth, TX, and Daphne Hendrix of Harrison Township, MI; brothers: Roy (Martha) Norman, Floyd (Carolyn) Norman, and Bobby (Minnie) Norman, all of Columbia; sister: Leona Lyons of Columbia; grandchildren: Brandon, Justin, and Chris Newcomb, Serena Spallar; great grandchildren: Brooklyn Grace Newcomb; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Clarence “Curly,” R.L., Howard, Gene, and James Norman; and 2 sisters, Pauline Pope and Dot Adams.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Heritage Funeral Home to the Linda Hendrix fund.
