Justin Layne

February 16, 1981 - May 6, 2012

Justin Thomas Luther Layne, age 31, and a resident of Columbia, TN passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 10th at 2pm at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Georgina Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in the Hargrove Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 5-8pm and again on Thursday from 12pm until the service hour at 2pm. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge and assisting the family with arrangements.

Justin was born in Nashville, TN and is the son of Darrell Layne of Fairview and Sheila Tomlin Layne. He enjoyed researching astrological signs and politics. He was a wonderful artist, drawing a great deal in his spare time. Justin also was known for watching the history channel. But most of all, Justin loved his family. He treasured time spent with them and particularly with his nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Justin is survived by sisters: Christy Peay of Columbia, Crystal Layne Colyer of Lebanon, and Jessica Layne of Fairview; brother: Josh Dement of Columbia; grandparents: Ronald and Vada Mae Richardson of Columbia; aunts: Tina Marlene Tomlin and Penny Jo Thompson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special family friend Cindy Brunson.

He was preceded in death by a brother Jacob Layne.

Pallbearers will be Joe Collins, Clint Uptain, Anthony Patton, Matt Heathcock, Vernon Eugene Tomlin, Jr., Justus Aiden, and Robert Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Tomlin, James Tomlin, Ricky Thompson, and Terry Thompson.
