Margaret Rankin

Margaret Norman Rankin, age 78, and a resident of Columbia, TN passed away on May 16th at NHC in Lewisburg, TN.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date by the family. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret was born in Maury County and was the daughter of the late Walter Roberts and Mamie Workman Roberts. She will always be remembered for being the fun-filled mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, always young at heart and a very giving, loving person.. But, most of all Margaret was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She treasured times spent with her grandkids, which were her life. She will be greatly missed by all of them.

She is survived by her son Randy Clayton Norman of Columbia, TN; daughter: Tracy (Tracy) Roberson of Columbia, TN; sister: Sarah Huffmaster of Tecumseh, MI; grandchildren: Kalob Roberson, Peyton Roberson, William Cody Norman, and April Norman and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her great granddaughter Emily Gibson Roberson; brothers: Howard, Buddy, Douglas, Harry, Edward “Rouse”, and Gene Roberts; sisters: Pearl Cothran, Ruby Cothran, and Evidean Knowles; and husbands William Clayton Norman and Thomas S. Rankin.
