Hobert Stanfill

April 23, 1934 - May 26, 2012

Hobert Stanfill, age 78 and a resident of Culleoka, Tennessee, passed away Saturday morning, May 26, 2012 at NHC in Columbia.

Funeral services for Mr. Stanfill will be Monday May 28, 2012 at 10 AM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend Howard Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at Johnsons Chapel Cemetery in Santa Fe with military honors provided by members of the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends on Sunday May 27, 2012 from 4-7 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Santa Fe, Tennessee, Hobert was the most giving person on earth. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he loved everyone. Hobert never met a stranger.

He is survived by three brothers: Wentford (Sandra) Stanfill of Culleoka, Wayne (Wanda) Stanfill of Columbia, and Ray (Cheryl) Stanfill of Culleoka; three sisters: Maggie (Ray) Shouse, Charolette McCoy, and Addie (Charles) Crotts all of Columbia. He is also survived by three grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father Joe Leland Stanfill and his mother Jessie Hill Stanfill as well as, his daughter Teresa Lynn Backus, two brothers: Joe Stanfill and Don Stanfill.

Pallbearers will be Allan McCoy, Jerry Shouse, Billy Shouse, Guy Ragsdale, David Stanfill, Billy Ray Stanfill, and James Malugin.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Employees of NHC-Hillview,Dr. Gentry, Dr. Sego, Glen Harris, Kenneth Lovett, Adam Ervin, and Ed Holten.
