Mary Katherine Allison, age 81 of Waverly, TN, passed away Thursday evening, August 9, 2012 at Trevecca Health Care.

Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Allison was born in Waverly, TN on March 25, 1931. She was one of eight children of Paul Carter and Susie Hampton Carter. She served as secretary for Luff-Bowen Funeral Home for over 25 years.

Mrs. Allison is survived by three children: Vivian (Dale) Raymer of Columbia, TN, Dennis James (Kim) Carter of Lewistown, IL, and Walter Allison of West Tennessee; a sister: Irene Hunter of Nashville; two brothers: Bryan (Mary Jewel) Carter of Waverly, and Rupert (Joyce) Carter of Mt. Pleasant. Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
