Mr. Mark Clark Nay, age 58, beloved husband of Lori Nay, father, grandfather, son , brother, and friend to many passed away at his residence with family and friends by his side on Tuesday morning, September 25, 2012 at his residence in Lynnville, TN.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 28, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor George McDowell officiating. Family and friends are invited to view Mark anywhere from 8:30 AM- 7:00 PM on Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends from 12:00 noon until the service hour at 3:00 on Friday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements.
Mark was born on January 12, 1954 to Glendora “Dora” Callis (Floyd Lee) and Hobart Nay of Indianapolis, IN. He was a graduate of Whitehouse High School, formerly served in the Army National Guard, was an employee of Superior Essex, and a member of Lynnville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed music, football, racing, and mechanics.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children: Deanna Nay, Shaun Nay, Elayna Nay, Lilian Slade all of Lynnville; brothers and sisters: Linda (Jimmy) Riddle of Goodlettsville, TN, Andrea (Boyd) Rich, Woodrow York, Jr., Joe (Glenda) York, Helen Kelley, Twilla (Robert) Shrake, Melissa York, David (Loretta) York, and Tony (Mary) Schuler, all of Columbia; Grandchildren: Areonna Russell, Jacob Russell, Diana Nay, and Lucas Nay; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father: Hobart Nay, step-father: Woodrow York, Sr., and niece: Kimberly Johnson.
The family would like to extend a very special thanks to his caregivers: Dedra Campbell and Arleen Moore, Chris Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. Dugger, Mr. and Mrs. Apple Altobell, Mr. and Mrs. Thacker, Mr. & Mrs. Moore, the doctors of Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, Dr. Moots and nurses, and all his family and friends for all their help and assistance with Mark during his illness.
Family requests that flowers be live flowering plants or trees.
