Gail Paulette Ervin

June 10, 1959 - October 7, 2012

Mrs. Gail P.(Hood) Ervin, age 53, wife of Van Thomas (Tommy) Ervin and resident of Murphy Lane in Columbia, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at her residence.

A Funeral Service in her honor will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Parkway Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 09, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Columbia, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Mangrem "Buddy" & Marie (Luckett) Hood. She graduated from Columbia Central High School, attended Columbia State Community College, and then went on to get her Master's Degree from LSU. She held the position of Vice President of Operations at Middle Tennessee Bank. She was a faithful member of Parkway Baptist Church and she sang in the choir. Gail was an extremely outgoing and fun- loving lady. Once you met her, you would never forget her. She was involved in many things and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was involved with the Girl Scouts, Jaycees, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a member of BPW (Business Professional Women), she was a member of Leadership Maury and was very active in Longaberger Baskets. She was a musician and was a Nascar Fan. In addition, she was an avid Tennessee Titans and Tennessee Volunteers fan. Although she had many loves and interests in her life, nothing compared to the love she had for her dogs, or as she called them her "three girls" (Nestlee, Jordan and Boccardi). Her loving and caring ways will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, she left behind to cherish her memory her brother David (Mary Jane) Hood of Columbia, TN; her sister, Jean Ann (Troy) Wilson of Columbia, TN; two nieces, five nephews, and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Ray Hood.

Pallbearers will include: Beau McVicker, Nick McVicker, Cameron Hood, Austin York, Peyton York, Chase Hood, Van Ervin, and Jon Roberts.

Honorary Pallbearers will include: Sheriff Enoch George, Members of Parkway Baptist Church and former co-workers of Middle TN Bank.
