Ernestine “Tina” Sievers, age 80 and a resident of Experiment Lane in Columbia, TN passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012 at her residence.

The family will celebrate her life with private services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements.

Tina was born January 28, 1932 in Williamson, West Virginia and was the daughter of Leo Gannon Sr. and Myrtle Marie Perry Gannon. While serving in the United States Air Force, Tina met William H Sievers in New York. Their lives took them to Florida, and finally in to Lincoln County, Tennessee where they obtained a 450 acre farm. During their later years, Tina and Bill bowled in the Senior Olympics, and were instrumental in beginning the Galaxy Stars Senior Bowling League at Galaxy Lanes in Columbia.

Described as “the World’s Greatest Wife & Mom”, Tina will be deeply missed by her son: William “Bill” Sievers of Columbia; four sisters: Billie Jean Rairigh of Warren, OH, Betty Gibson of Belfountain, OH, Patsy Shaefer of Cleveland, OH, and Judy Francis of West Palm Beach, FL; a brother: Virgil Gannon of New Falls, OH; and a grandson: Billy (Chrissy) Sievers of Nashville; and a great-grandson: Ash Lewis Sievers.

In addition to her parents, Tina was preceded in death by a sister: Jackie Blankenship and a brother: Leo Gannon, Jr.
