Alberta A. Kadolph

July 10, 1926 - November 11, 2012

Ms. Alberta A. Kadolph, age 86, and a resident of Harmony Way in Columbia passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at her residence.

Memorial services will be Saturday November 17, 2012 at 1:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Tommy Vann and Rev. Scott Aleridge officiating. Inurnment will follow at Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will also visit with friends on Saturday from 11AM – 1PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and is in charge of the arrangements.

Alberta was born on July 10, 1926 in Grant County, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Mark and Adeline Overman. She was of the Methodist faith and previously worked as a nurse. Alberta loved her family. She was an expert seamstress who enjoyed arts and crafts. She also made pillows for Ronald McDonald House as well as prepared baskets for people. She enjoyed sports, especially baseball, the Atlanta Braves and the Chicago Cubs.

She is survived by three daughters: Joy (Darrell) Unrein of Columbia, Judy (Joe) Wilson of Greely, Colorado, Jan (Gary) Miller of Gurnee, Illinois; brother: Richard Overman of New Smyrna Beach, FL; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; special nephews: Mark and Mike Friermood; and great-nephews: Tony and Todd Friermood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Inez Frierwood; brother, Gilbert Overman; and son, James Pattison.
Honorary pallbearers will be her fourteen grandchildren who called her “Granny.”
