Saxon Ross, age 21, and a resident of Woods Drive in Columbia, TN went to be with The Lord on Monday, November 26, 2012 due to injuries sustained in a car accident.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 10AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Associate Pastor Melinda Britt officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 6 – 8 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of all arrangements.
Funeral services in Arkansas will be held at 11AM on Friday, November 30, 2012 with Rev. Sterling Claypoole officiating, and visitation will be Thursday from 6 - 8 PM at First Baptist Church: 200 West Main St. El Dorado, AR 71730. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Born on August 8, 1991 in El Dorado, AR, Saxon was the son of Richard C. Ross and Melissa Staples Pratt. He was a 2009 graduate of Columbia Central High School. He worked as a programmer at TRG in Spring Hill, TN and attended First United Methodist Church in Columbia. Saxon loved music including playing the guitar and writing his own songs. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, and fishing. He had the biggest heart, and especially loved his family and his many friends. Saxon was an extremely loving and incredibly outgoing person who will always be remembered for his sweet smile. In high school, he was voted Most Mischievous, and he carried that silly sense of humor everywhere he went bringing laughter, joy, and smiles to everyone. He will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by, his maternal grandparents: Nancy and Danny Staples of Calion, AR; paternal grandfather: Joe Ross of El Dorado, AR; brother, Landin Greer Ross of El Dorado, AR; sister: Autumn Mayln Ross of El Dorado, AR; three aunts: Dana (Chuck) Kendrick of Southaven, MS, Jackie Staples of Jacksonville, FL, Stefanie (Jim) Bryant of Springdale, AR; cousins: Mackenzie Wallace, Taylor Garnier, Charlie Kendrick, Kelsey, Christopher, Matthew, and Andrew Bryant; and special friends: Lyssa and Mary Wiles.
Saxon was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Connie Ross.
Pallbearers in Columbia will be Richard Terry, Matthew Rummage, Hunter Stinson, Stanley Gately, Blain Harrison, William Harmon, Zachary Tubville, Bentley Dean, and Robert Winchester.
Pallbearers in Arkansas will be Christopher Bryant, Matthew Bryant, Andrew Bryant, Hunter Ross, Will Walthall, and Mackenzie Wallace.
