Richard "Rick" Blackburn, age 70 of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2012 at his residence. Rick's family will celebrate his life with private services near his childhood home in Cincinnati, OH at a later date. There are no public services planned at this time. You are encourage to make memorial contributions in Rick's honor to the charity of your choice. Heritage Funeral Home of Franklin is assisting the family. Rick was born November 16, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH to Richard and Norma Horne Blackburn. During his distinguished career in the music industry, Rick served as Chairman of the CMA Board of Directors in 1982; President of the CMA during 1986; and CEO of Columbia Records for 22 years. He is survived by his wife of 30 years: Suzanne "Suzie" McLellan Blackburn of Franklin; and a brother: Roger Blackburn of Kentucky.
