Mr. William “Willie” Newton, age 52 and a resident of Dallas Court in Duck River, TN passed away Monday morning, December 3, 2012 at his residence.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Monroe Joe Hargrove officiating. Interment will follow at Stand Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 4 – 8PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements.

Willie was born on April 28, 1960 in Davidson County, TN. He was the son of the late Charles Stanton Newton and Gracie Mae Sisco. He was of the Baptist faith and owned Willie’s Tire Shop. He was a wonderful father, brother, and grandfather who loved his family and his dog, “his buddy,” Pipes. Willie enjoyed racing cars and built his own race car.

He is survived by daughters: April (Jerry) Wray of Duck River, Mendy (Burtis) Boyd of Williamsport, Chelsea Newton of Kingston Springs, TN; brothers: Charles (Vickie) Newton of Fairview, TN, Leslie (Teresa) Lindsay of Pegram, TN; sister: Rhonda Lindsay of White Bluff, TN; and seven grandchildren: Marion Norrod, Tyler Krantz, Logan Krantz, Jerome Wray III, Justice Mangrum, Madilyn Adkins, and Mya Boyd.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Troy Lindsay.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Wray, Burtis Boyd, Tim Martin, Jason Adkins, Thomas McKay, and Ronnie Nickens.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Monroe Joe Hargrove and William Bruce, Sr.
