Betty Rowen

November 19, 1939 - December 19, 2012

Betty Catherine Rowen passed peacefully in her sleep early on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at NHC Hillview.

A private gathering will occur on Saturday, December 22, 2012 for family only. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements.

Born November 19, 1939, Betty was 73 years old. She was the daughter of Chester Willoughby and Daisy DeBerry Willoughby. Betty was born and raised in Savannah, TN and moved to Florida in 1977 where she was a successful realtor for 30 years. Betty and Jim moved back to Savannah in 2007 to be closer to family.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Jim Rowen; sons, Robert M. Wood III (Jona), Michael Rowen (Mary); daughters, Cheri Wood Kozlowski (Bart), Beth Wood Wilson; sister, Peggy Land; brother, Edwin Willoughby; grandchildren, Kendra Mahoney, Kory Andrew Kozlowski, Erin Pennicook, Emily Morgan, Murry Wood IV, JP Wilson, Zachary Wood; and three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Samara, and Malachi.


Betty was preceded in death by sisters, Zubie Harrison, Patsy McCullar; and daughter, Debra Smith.
