Joseph Groom

April 7, 1946 - December 23, 2012

Mr. Joseph “Joe” Groom, Jr. age 66, and a resident of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

The family will celebrate his life with private services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements.

Joe was born on April 7, 1946 in Key West, FL. He was the son of the late Dr. Joseph John and Ellen Lorraine Groom. Joe was a retired supervisor for Metro Transit Authority of Dade County, Florida, and he served in the United States Navy for four years.

He is survived by his sister Bonita (Ralph) Rodgers of Knoxville, TN.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers.
