Ruth R. Bush

January 31, 1922 - January 4, 2013

Ruth R. Barnes Bush, age 90, and a resident of Moore Lane in Culleoka passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at her residence.

The family will celebrate her life with services at Michigan Memorial Park at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 12, 2013 with Sr. Pastor Rich Zawadzki officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements.

The daughter of the late Faye C. and Eva Mae Barnes, she was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on January 31, 1922. She married Mr. Samuel William “Bill” Bush in 1940 and made her home in Romulus, Michigan until 2004 when she relocated to Columbia, TN and later moved to Culleoka, TN to live with her daughter, Beverly O’Guin.

She retired from Oakwood hospital in Dearborn, Michigan having been employed as a nursing tech. She dedicated her life to her family and was a devoted wife and mother of six.

She is survived by her son: Larry R. “Nellie” Bush of Jackson, MI; and daughters: Beverly M. (Tommy Lee) O’Guin of Culleoka, and Lin Roberts of Hazel Park, MI. In addition, she leaves behind fourteen grandchildren: Roger (Kathy) Denton, Cindy (Jimmy) Manetta, Michael (Lori) Denton, Lori Denton, Robert Denton, Amanda Savage Plank, Mark Savage, Doreen (Tim) Savage, Kim (Dave) Patton, Sherry Joyner, Steven Arzadon, Erica Cates, and Scott (Patti) Bush; thirty great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by son: Richard “Dick” Phillip Barnes, daughters: Patty Ann McGlothlin, Sandra Lee Savage; and grandson: John Paul Denton.
