Robert A. Jones

July 11, 1962 - February 1, 2013

Mr. Robert Allen Jones, age 50, and a resident of 6th Avenue in Columbia, passed away Friday morning, February 1, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

The family will celebrate his life with private services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and is in charge of the arrangements.

Robert was born July 11, 1962 in Nashville, TN and was the son of the late Robert Vogene and Doris Jones. He was an entrepreneur, creating business and taking care of himself as needed. In his free time, he enjoyed football, wrestling, and making people laugh. Sports served as outlet for his energy and relaxation.

As Robert joins his parents in eternity, he leaves to cherish his memory a fiance’: Mabeline Scribner; three sons: Wallace (Christina) Scribner, Lamont (Angela) Scribner, and Brent Baugh; a daughter: Tina Maple; brother: Michael Jones (Theresa Maple); 12 grandchildren: Keshawn Maple, Devontay Maple, Trawonna Webster, Jaleigha Scribner, Justice Scribner, Renzo Scribner Jr, Tiffany Martin, Shirley Martin, William Martin, Kayla Martin, Terrance Martin, and Kevari Wilson. He is also survived by a devoted friend: John Michael Cole; and his God-Mother: Doris Cole.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Robert Jones Memorial Fund in care of Heritage Funeral Home, 609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, TN 38401.
