Marion Duffey

Mrs. Marion Rita Duffey, age 89 of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, Feb 5, 2013 at the Mt. Pleasant residence of her daughter and son-in-law.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, February 16, 2013 in the Lakeville Cemetery in Addison Township, MI. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Duffey was born Aug 13, 1923 in Youngstown, OH and was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Sarsfield Seivert. She was a homemaker and member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Orion, MI. She was the widow of Robert Lee Duffey, who preceded her in death in 1993.

As a wife and mother, she dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her favorite time was spent with them, and in recent years with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Until her health failed her, she always enjoyed music, dancing and her life and her family.

Mrs. Duffey is survived by two children: Carol (Don) Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, TN; Michael Duffey of St. Pete Beach, FL and a sister: Betty Reese of Anaheim, CA; 4 grandchildren: Ronald Scott Anderson, Curtis Lee Anderson, Shayla Lea McGraw, and Lisa Paugh; and 8 great-grandchildren.
