Gerry Dwight Ervin

May 22, 1958 - February 5, 2013

Mr. Gerry Dwight Ervin, age 54, a resident East Sheepneck Road in Culleoka, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2013.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Dwain Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Columbia, Gerry was born on May 22, 1958 to the late Herman and Lula Mae Ervin. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as a farmer. Gerry served our country in the Army National Guard. He loved working on heavy equipment and enjoyed being with his family.

He is survived by his fiancé, Sara Wray; daughters: Sandra (William) Butler of Amory, MS, Brittany (R.J.) Smitherman of Amory, MS, Kelsey Ervin of Columbia; brothers: Larry (Shirley) Collins of Kansas; Charles Ervin of Cornersville, TN; Alfred (Sandra) Ervin of Santa Fe, Mike (Anita) Ervin of Columbia; sister, Sheila Holt of Lewisburg; and two grandchildren: Savannah Butler and Camian Ervin.

In addition to his parents, Gerry was preceded in death by two brothers: Chester Ervin, Wade Collins; sister, Patricia Bishop, and sister-in-law, Phyllis Ervin.

Pallbearers will be Mike Fox, Brandon Holt, Joe Holt, Dennis Posey, Stephen Finley, Jr., and Joey Ervin.

The family asks that memorials be made to Rock Springs Cemetery Fund.
