Jonathan David “Forrest” Stevens, age 34, and a resident of Saddleview Drive in Franklin, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home-Columbia with Phil Stevens officiating. The family will also visit with friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the service hour at 2:00 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and assisting the family.
Jonathan was born on November 30, 1978 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. He was the son of Phillip Stevens and Patricia Foster (Troy) Piland. He was a hard worker who enjoyed working for Buffalo Wild Wings. He liked watching sports, especially the New Orleans Saints. He loved music and was a poet by nature. He was generally loved by all he met.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by brothers: Phil (Sarah) Stevens of Lynchburg, VA, Mike (Marie) Piland of Winter Park, FL, Bill Piland of Oviedo,Florida; sisters: Christi Piland of Franklin, Tabatha (Brian) Banton of Lynchburg, VA, Paula (Brian) McClellan and Cassie (Zack) Jennings, both of Kingsport, TN; and grandparents, Harold & LaVerne Foster of Columbia.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, L.E. & Cassie Stevens.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Buffalo Wild Wings.
