Charles Behanna

June 7, 1934 - March 18, 2013

Mr. Charles “Chuck” Behanna, age 78, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at Mt. Pleasant Health & Rehab Center in Mt. Pleasant.

Services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends two hours prior, from noon until 2:00 PM. Final services will be conducted at Mount Airy Memorial Cemetery in Natrona Heights, PA. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born June 7, 1934 in Natron Heights, PA, Charles was one of three children of Ervin & Elsie Reese Behanna. He served his country in the United States Army and retired from U.S. Steel.
Prior to his health failing, Chuck was always “the life of the party,” according to his daughter. He was outgoing and had a heart to care for others. He was a family man and loved his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing in his free time. One of the hardest things he dealt with was his grief following the death of his son, Joseph, in 1992.

Chuck is survived by his daughter: Rose Kelly of Columbia; a son: Charles Behanna of Gibsonia, PA; two sisters: Doris Pajerski and Janice Middlemiss, both of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren: Tara and Larry Kelly, and Kaleb and Kaitlin Behanna; and 2 great-grandchildren: Jacob Vincent and McKenzie Kelly.
