Dorothy "Dot" Carolyn Clements

Mrs. Dorothy Carolyn Clements, age 83, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013 at The Gardens at Poplar Estates.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 26 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Macon Memorial Funeral Home in Macon, Georgia with Rev. Bob Rush officiating. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of local arrangements.

Dot was born on June 23, 1929 in Macon, GA. She was the daughter of the late Loy Leon and Mary Ethel Campbell and the wife of Joseph Gregory Clements who preceded her in death on May 26, 2001. Mrs. Clements had a successful career as a legal secretary and was retired from the law firm of Finch, McCraine, Brown, and Black in Atlanta, GA. She was a member of Kelly’s Chapel Methodist Church in Decatur, GA.

Mrs. Clements is survived by her four children: Joseph Gregory Clements, Jr. of Suwannee, GA, Lynne Childers of Roswell, GA, Carol (Don) Anderson of Columbia, and Gene (Pam) Clements of Cumming, GA; grandchildren: Kelly Childers of Louisville, KY, Caty, Trey, John, Joseph, and Christopher Clements of Atlanta, GA, Jamie and Jason Anderson of Columbia, Maegan, Tyler, and Stephanie Clements of Cumming, GA; and two great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers are Mrs. Carolyn Copelan and the compassionate and devoted administrators, nurses, and caregivers at The Gardens Assisted Living.
