Mrs. Mazell Harden, age 74, and a resident of West 15th Street in Columbia, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service for Mrs. Harden will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 7:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. The family will also receive friends for visitation on Monday from 5-7 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Polk Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM on Tuesday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements.
Born in Lawrence County on February 11, 1939, Mazell was the daughter of the late Coleman Sewell and Irene Hood McGill. She was a homemaker who enjoyed yard work and spent a lot of time making sure her yard looked good.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory three sons: Randy Harden of Columbia, Jerry Harden of Lewisburg; Buddy Harden of Columbia; daughter, Aletta Bratton of Mt. Pleasant sister, Sandra Walker of Pulaski; fourteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Harden, Sr.; daughter, Jackie Horton; son, Kenny Harden; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Harden’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
