Janice Marie Cates Haskin

August 27, 1956 - April 24, 2013

Janice Marie Cates Haskin, age 56, and a resident of Hampshire Pike in Columbia passed away Wednesday evening, April 24, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. The family will also visit with friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the service hour at 1:00. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements.

A Maury County native, Janice was born on August 27, 1956. She loved her great-great nieces and nephews, and she enjoyed going to church and spending time with the sweet church ladies from College View Church of Christ. Through everything she has been through, Janice was a strong survivor and an incredible fighter.

She is survived by her mother: Elvia Cates; brother: “Butch” Walter Cates of Mt. Pleasant; sisters: Rita Cates of Columbia and Ruth Halbrooks; and great-nieces: Jackie Kincaid of Williamsport, Tasha Cash of Columbia, and Felicia Morris of Columbia.
