Mr. Gregory Gene Lee, age 55, husband of Beverly A. Lee, a resident of Spring Hill, passed away Saturday morning, May 18, 2013 at Tri-Star ER in Spring Hill.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Terry Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 11 AM – 6 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Gregory was born on May 9, 1958 and was the son of the late Elmer D. and Patricia E. Webb Lee. He was a retired employee of General Motors and also previously worked as a pro loader for Home Depot. Gregory was a hard worker and great teacher with the ability to pass along his knowledge to his family. He was a loyal family man, a quality that was obvious in that he took on another family and made it his own. In his free time, he loved coaching and camping. Any time he was needed, you could count on him. His loyalty extended to always helping family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he was survived by step-sons: Brian and Shaun Parent of Spring Hill; step-daughter: Lisa Parent of Spring Hill; brother: Jeff Lee of Taylor, MI; sister: Renae Hessom of Westland, MI; and five grandchildren: Triston, Ryleigh, Landon, Dylan and Jemma.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Lee.

Active pallbearers will be Brian William Parent, Shaun Michael Parent, Michael Williams, Marvin Haywood, Jason Slaughter and Adam Fitch.
