Ms. Katherine Ann Holt, age 62 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at her residence, surrounded by family and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate Ann’s life will be conducted at 7:00 PM Friday, May 31, 2013 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, officiated by Bob Mullinex. The family will receive friends for visitation two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Private burial will follow at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ann was born January 6, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant. She was the daughter of Frank James, Sr. & Mary Lee Nance Irwin, and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant. She loved the beach and getting her toes in the sand, so travelling and spending time with her family brought the greatest joy to her life. Locally, she is best remembered as the kind voice who would answer the switchboard calls at Maury Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by her daughter: Delanie (Darryl) Haywood of Mt. Pleasant; a brother: Ray (Nancy) Irwin of Carrollton, KY; two sisters: Sue Chambers of Danville, AL and Janie (Chuck) White of Murfreesboro, TN: two grandchildren: Katelyn and Preston Haywood; nieces: Stacie (Thomas) Freeman and Amanda White; and great-nephew: Scott Thomas Freeman.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by a brother: Frank James “Buddy” Irwin, Jr.

The family requests that memorial donations be made in Ann’s name to the Maury Regional Healthcare Foundation, 1224 Trotwood Ave, Columbia, TN 38401.
