Harold E. Fly

Mr. Harold Edward Fly, age 63, husband of Wanda Fly, a resident of Blackburn Road in Santa Fe, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at North Side Health Care Center in Murfreesboro.

The family will celebrate his life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements.

A native of Maury County, Harold was born on March 11, 1950 and was the son of the late B G and Bessie Kelley Fly. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as a farmer and logger and also worked for Uptain Construction. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Ben H. Fly; daughter: Betsy M. Fly; brothers: Wilson Fly, David Fly; brother-in-law: James (Sandra) Scott; and sisters-in-law: Jewell (Pete) Spencer and Pauline Davidson. Harold also claimed his six great nieces and nephews as his own grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his brother: Eugene Fly; brother-in-law: Nelson Scott; and sisters-in-law: Betty Cates and Elizabeth Burns.
