By title, he was District Sales Manager at Novo Nordisk Inc., but above all he was a follower of Jesus Christ and made his family a priority in his life. Most of his free time was spent with his sons on the baseball field, golfing, or cheering on his Alma Mater, the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Rod had countless personal and professional achievements in life, but he was most passionate about The Cooper Trooper Foundation (CTF), which he co-founded with his wife, Missy. CTF was a result of their youngest son's diagnosis of cancer at 8 weeks old. They felt God calling them to turn their experience into an opportunity to help others.
Rod is survived by his wife: Missy Martin Cook; 3 sons: Carson (10), Colby (7) and Cooper (4); and his parents: Lamar Cook and Mary H. Cook. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joseph and Ada Cook, and Sam and Lena Hall.
