Elizabeth Marie Harris

October 26, 1928 - July 7, 2013

Mrs. Elizabeth Marie Harris, age 84 of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Overton County Nursing Home in Livingston, TN.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 in Morton Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Harris was born in Mt. Pleasant, TN on October 26, 1928 and was the daughter of William "Buddy" and Florence Ralston. She was a graduate of Haylong High School, and retired as a switchboard operator with the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Church of Christ, and loved spending her time with her dogs.

Elizabeth was the last of ten children. Four of her siblings died in infancy, and the others who preceded her were Buddy Ralston, Bessie Kelly, Louise Young, Vivian Erwin, and Gene Ralston. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband: Leland Howard Harris in 1982.

She is survived by a daughter: Teresa White of Crossville, TN; 2 grandchildren: Tracy Roberson and Troy Hendrickson; and 5 great-grandchildren: Isabella Hendrickson, Austin Hendrickson, Cheyenne Barnett, Beau Roberson, and Jackson Roberson.
