Jay C. Bybee

November 13, 1929 - July 21, 2013

Mr. Jay C. Bybee, age 83 of Dickson, passed away at Life Care Center of Centerville on Sunday, July 21, 2013.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 2-4 PM at United Freewill Baptist Church in Dickson, Tennessee. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jay was born November 13, 1929 in Slavens, Kentucky and was the son of Gregory Vaughn and Nettie Bybee. He devoted his life to sharing the gospel of Christ as a minister for the Nazarene Church.

In his free time, he loved to read and play the guitar. He collected and worked on watches as well. But no matter what he was doing, his passion was his love for the people around him.

He is survived by his wife: Norma Rushing Bybee of Dickson; a daughter: Beverly (Kevin) Johnson of Dickson; a son: Greg (Faith) Bybee of Dickson; a brother: Lloyd (Mossie) Bybee of Nashville; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
