William C. Scott

July 7, 1946 - August 20, 2013

Mr. William C. Scott, age 67, and a resident of Lewisburg, TN passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Private services will be held by the family at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements.

William was born in Maury County and was the son of the late Sam Henry and Ella Carroll Scott. He was a firefighter for 15 years for the Columbia Fire Department and engineer for the last few. He also did carpenter work on the side, and enjoyed doing some pastoral work as well. William liked to commercial fish as a hobby. He sang gospel music on television in Tennessee and Mississippi.

William is survived by his wife Pamela Beard Scott, to whom he was married for 31 years; one son: William “Scotty” (Tammy) Scott, Jr. of Hohenwald; two daughters: Renee (Angus) Harnden of Summertown and Tammy Beard of Lewisburg; one brother: Donald Scott of Sarah, MS; and one sister: Frances Diane Boles of Hohenwald; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
