Barbara Arline Ouimet

May 26, 1937 - September 10, 2013

Barbara Arline Ouimet, age 76 of Nashville, passed away on Tuesday morning, September 10, 2013 at Lakeshore Heartland in Nashville.

Per her request she will be cremated with no public services and her remains, with those of her son, Guy Alan Ouimet, will be privately placed in Maury Memorial Gardens, adjacent to Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born in Brooklyn, New York on May 26, 1937, Barbara was the daughter of Irving and Cecilia Cohen Velaney. Her Christian upbringing and faith led her into a life of service as a private care giver. In her final weeks of life, Barbara talked about her love for her two sons: Danny (who passed away in 1977) and Guy Alan (who passed away in 2012). She now rests in the arms of her Savior, surrounded by her sons and parents.

Barbara is survived by a sister: Norma in California; and her dear friend: Lily Osuna of Dickson.
