Bonnie Willingham

December 13, 1932 - November 8, 2013

Bonnie Fay Willingham, age 80 of Spring Hill, passed away Friday morning, November 8, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Bonnie was born December 13, 1932 in Turkey, TX and was the daughter of Curtis and Reba Hanlon Smith. She was a bookkeeper in the pharmaceutical industry for 55 years. In her free time, she also cleaned homes on the weekend, and had worked at Wal-Mart in her later years.

Born in the heart of West Texas, Bonnie’s heart never left the “country girl” life. She loved listening to country music, attending rodeos and listening to her son’s band play. Bonnie was kind and giving, and will be remembered as a person who loved being around others.

She is survived by her son: Tommy Ray Willingham of Spring Hill; one brother: Oliver Wayne Smith of Atascadero, CA; two grandchildren: Joseph “Joe” Willingham and Chelsea Willingham; and a great-granddaughter: Natalie Marie Willingham. She is also survived by her close friends: Paula Gray, Pamela Thompson and Betty Sterling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son: Gerald Lee Willingham; and her siblings: Retha Smith, Rosie Smith, R.C. Smith and George Lee Smith.

Bonnie’s family will celebrate her life with private services at a later date, and are assisted by Heritage Funeral Home.
