Clinton Bernard Carter

June 12, 1959 - December 16, 2013

Mr. Clint Carter, age 54 of Columbia, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at his residence.

The family will celebrate Clint’s life with services on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours prior from 12:00 noon until the 2:00 PM service. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Clint was born June 12, 1959 in Detroit, MI and was the son of the late Walter Carter and Lillian Harriet Nielsen Carter. He was a 1977 graduate of Benzie County Central High School in Benzonia, MI. He made a career as a commercial freight driver with 24 years of service to YRC Freight Company in Nashville.

Mechanically minded, Clint enjoyed working on cars and computers. He also worked on projects around the house as well as outside and in the garden. He had a love for music and a talent for playing the guitar. His curiosity led him to explore and learn new things. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Jan, who served God’s Kingdom as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In addition to his wife, Jan, he is survived by a step-son: Joshua Jayne; step-daughter: Jada Jayne; brother: Jimmy (Teri) Carter; sisters: Connie (Ray) Russell, Lynette Carter and Cindy (Frank) Patton; two grandchildren: Jayden Lombardo and Hunter Jayne; and many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Columbia Kingdom Hall Building Fund, 210 Stonebrook Lane, Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474.

Condolences may be sent to the family at the top of this page.
